Getting to Linden Airport for your flight

HeliNY's night and sunset flights take off from Linden Municipal Airport in New Jersey, about 15 miles southwest of Lower Manhattan. Getting there is easy once you know the routine.

By train (the easy way)

Take NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor line from New York Penn Station to Linden; the ride is about 30 minutes and trains run frequently in the evening. Ask HeliNY when you book for the free shuttle from Linden station, or take an Uber, Lyft or taxi for the roughly 10-minute ride to the terminal at 1101 W Edgar Rd. Reviewers consistently call the train-plus-shuttle routine straightforward, even on a first visit to New York.

By car or rideshare

From Midtown it is typically 35 to 60 minutes by car depending on tunnel traffic, and the airport has parking. Rideshare works both ways, though evening demand in Linden is lower, so book your return early or use the shuttle back to the station.

Check-in and timing

Check-in is 50 minutes before your flight, with government-issued photo ID.
